(1928-2002)
These are messages we have received from people, acknowledging the work that Roy did. If you would like to post a tribute message to place on the web site, then please e-mail tribute@chestergangshow.net
I had the privilege to be in several of Roy’s gang shows as both a cub and scout. The news of his death came as a great shock to me and although there are many dedicated people who will continue producing fantastic gang shows, I don’t think he can ever be replaced. The gang show certainly provided me with many happy memories of childhood and gave me a love of theatre which lasts to this day. I will always look back on that slightly out of tune piano, the dusty wooden hut and Roy with great fondness and respect.

It was with great sorry that I heard from a fellow alumnus of the Chester Gang, that Roy Fisher passed away this past weekend.
I had the good fortune to be in eight of Roy’s Scoutabout productions between 1957 and 1964 and count the experience amongst my most treasured memories.
I should therefore like to express my sympathy and add my name to the long list of those who owe Roy a debt of gratitude. Thanks to him, I discovered the joy of theatre and made friendships that have endured to this day.
